MISSION
The purpose of the Gig Harbor Peninsula Youth Sports Coalition is to advocate for youth sports in the Gig Harbor Peninsula community.
WHO WE ARE
The backbone of the Coalition is a dedicated group of volunteers consisting of parents, coaches, youth sports advocates, past and present players, organized sports organizations, teachers, elected officials, business leaders and citizens.

Our focus is to bring together people and organizations through collaboration and advocate for youth sports in our community.
GHPYSC HISTORY
The Coalition was founded in response to the overwhelming need for lighted turf fields for youth sports in the Gig Harbor Peninsula area. For over 10 years, a dedicated group of community leaders have volunteered their time, expertise, and energy pursuing the building of the Gig Harbor Sports Complex through its many stages of planning. The important partnerships among the City of Gig Harbor, stakeholders, the YMCA, and local youth sports organizations have helped move this project from concept to an approved plan.
